This is a list of selected books from Japan or about Japan that we think would be particularly appropriate to share for our one-day festival.

To select a book for the one-day festival:
Click on the green button next to the book.  Next, fill out the form that appears. We will send you a free copy of the book!!  (If the button next to the book is red, it means the book has already been taken by someone else.)

• Japanese folk tales (picture books)
• Japanese folk tales (kamishibai card drama)
• Picture books-fiction (not folk tales)
• Picture books-nonfiction (not folk tales)
• Grades 3-5 readers
• Grades 6+ readers

You may present a story at the festival any way you choose.  You do not have to read the entire story; if you selected a longer story, an excerpt would be great.  Click here for some interesting options of how you might present your story.
