Search Techniques
- Search for who might have authored the primary source, especially if it was an institution or a group, such as a labor union, organization, or government agency . Search both as a keyword and as an author
- Restrict your search by publication date(s) when the primary source was likely to have been published

It is likely that an archive, historical society or other library in the location of your event etc. will hold uncataloged materials related to your event or issue. Look for a means of contact in the following sources. You will need to tell the student to contact someone at instution with the specifics of their reseach query and to be prepared to wait for a reply.
