To locate articles published in research Journals it is necessary to
consult an Index. For complete information more than one index may need
to be consulted. These indexes include different journals but may have some
subject overlap. These

There are several indexes which cover nutrition depending on the exact
nature of your information need.
- Biological Abstracts -
includes information on micronutrients, vitamins and human
physiology.

Biological and Agricultural Index - covers general nutrition.
- AGRICOLA - Produced by the
National Agriculture Library this covers human and animal nutrition.
- ERIC - This provides
citations to journal articles and unpublished materials. It includes
school foodservice, children's nutrition and food preferences.
- MEDLINE- Produced by the
National Library of Medicine this covers clinical dietetics.
